A 26 turn today, which fortunately turned out to be a day spent on Normandy shunting rather than a day scratching around trying to find something to do. The task for the day was to shunt everything around in the yard and workshop as the cranes were being replaced, and both areas needed to be as clear as possible. Needless to say, this shuffling created some interesting movements and formations, how often do you see a B4 shunting a Q1 and West Country, or even a terrier, E4 and Standard 5? We did both of these moves before lunch....!
Normandy smokes gently while warming up in the early morning cold
Not quite a 14xx and autotrailers, but as close as we can get at the Bluebell....!
It's not a wonderful picture, but how often do you see six steam locos end to end outside of a scrapyard??
A very deserted loco works...!
