An X turn today, which as usual involved cleaning things in lots of paraffin for a while, before attacking the works and number plates on Birch Grove, which were to be removed for the impending repaint

Interestingly, the paint under the plates was lighter than the rest of the paint. This is apparently
due to the paraffin used to clean the locos, and also the way in which brown paint darkens due to UV
This is what happens if you've attempted to ignore the station cat before collecting the key to your compartment....
