A day I'd been looking forward to for ages, weather permitting, as it was a turn on the Dukedog. Naturally I was hoping for a nice dry, warm day. Apart from the odd brief shower, the weather was not too bad.

Just before we left, I had a quick peek inside the works at the new cranes, while getting sand to fill the sandboxes.
It took about six bags!

I got to fire for most of the day, so it was almost a relief when the regular fireman took the shovel for the last round trip, as I was starting to ache a bit....!
